„Gentle when stroked, fierce when provoked“ – this is how Irish Wolfhounds should be.
Their temperament is legendary and their loyalty unmatched. They make fantastic companions for the right families, adore and protect children, and get along wonderfully with other dogs and animals. That being said, their kind and sweet disposition can take a turn for the worst if they are neglected or „forgotten.“ Then, they can become highly destructive and/or they shut down and withdraw. Meeting the emotional needs of these hounds is just as important as the physical ones, and they absolutely do not belong in a kennel. The pictures below show the capacity of our puppies to make great friends wherever they go!
